The Adams Driveshaft Extreme Duty Series Rear 1310 CV Driveshaft (part number ASDYJ-1310CVR-S) is custom manufactured for 1987–1993 Jeep YJ Wrangler models only — rear position. Compatible with tires up to 35 inches tall. Each driveshaft is built to order using a center-to-center measurement taken at ride height.
SYE Kit Required: A yoke-style Slip Yoke Eliminator (SYE) kit must be installed on the transfer case for this driveshaft to work. If a Mega Short SYE has been installed, notify Adams Driveshaft at time of order as this will affect the driveshaft length.
U-Joint Detail: This driveshaft uses a 1310 series U-joint at the axle end — specific to 1987 and 1993 YJ models.
Extreme Duty vs. Heavy Duty: This Extreme Duty Series uses solid non-greasable U-joints — the strongest U-joints Adams Driveshaft offers. The Heavy Duty Series (ASDYJ-1310CVR-G) with greasable U-joints is also available. Both series support tires up to 35 inches.
Construction: Built from 2" × .120 wall DOM seamless tubing with a long slip-n-stub and solid non-greasable 1310 series U-joints. The strongest component castings available are used throughout. All components sourced exclusively from Spicer and Neapco — two American manufacturers. Finished in gloss black show quality paint.
