Cardboard spools are increasingly popular for many different high quality filament manufacturers, but they can sometimes cause issues in the Bambu Lab Automatic Material System (AMS) when the filament gets low on the spool. In those instances the lightweight cardboard spools tend to "jump" up out of their slot and bind on the AMS feeder.
These weighted chrome steel balls can be inserted into the center of the spool where they will hold it down during printing and will allow the spool to be used all the way to the center core!
